Lewis, a Goldsworth Park based enxironmental consultant with experience working with planning documents, is standing because he believes the community deserves strong, principled, and genuinely local representation.

While he is part of a thriving local community he knows that the area faces real challenges including pressures on local services to, the worry that local voices are being diluted and the need to protect green spaces. He believes that decisions made by the council should be shaped by residents, focus on long‑term wellbeing rather than short‑term political convenience. Being a resident of the ward those aims aren’t just important to him, they are aims he feels well placed to work on.

He has said “If elected, I would work to be an accessible and accountable councillor, someone who listens, is visible in the community, and takes clear, consistent positions on the issues that matter to Knaphill and Goldsworth West. Local government works best when it is transparent, community‑focused, and guided by clear values. That is the standard I would aim to uphold in serving Knaphill and Goldsworth West.”

He also emphasised the value of the Green approach of putting community first when it comes to problems like planning decisions, transport, cost of living pressures, and access to services. He would work with others to:

  • Fund a fairer and greener future;
  • Improve public transport systems;
  • Build communities and create jobs.
