Mahil is standing for the first time as a Green Party candidate and has said “I’ve lived in Woking for my entire life, I’m 19 and am currently studying to be a computer scientist. I decided to become a candidate for the Greens having seen the mismanagement of the council for so many years, and the failure of the (then) main parties to encourage local approaches to care, environment and growth. I truly hope that the Greens will achieve local, then national wins, showing the UK’s commitment to our environment, towns, cities and rural areas, our most vulnerable, and for peace worldwide.”
